Jeff: So these little tiny those

Mr. Dog Poop: Those are resistors and okay, what's the, so, there's color codes on them one and is the beginning of it, and one is the end of it. So what are the colors?

Jeff: Geez, Louise. Like maroon on one end, and I don't know if that's gold on the other end.

Mr. Dog Poop: Okay, so the gold is tolerant. That means it's, it's within 5% of specs. The other end is the beginning of it. And you say it's maroon or red. So that would be a 2. And then what's the next color

Jeff: Looks to me like in order it's gold, orange, black.

Mr. Dog Poop: Go from the other side. Go from the other side. The gold is the end of it.

Jeff: Okay. Then the other side is the maroon. Okay. I don't know if those colors are going to show cause it's so itty bitty.

Mr. Dog Poop: Okay, so e I'm assuming red, two

Jeff: Red probably, yeah. Okay. Because the other ones are orange and I think the middle two are orange and black. There are four colors.

Mr. Dog Poop: 2, 3 0, 2 30. And then the number of zeros there should be another band. Unless it's 230 owns,

Jeff: I'm only seeing four, but I'm in such a well lit studio. My color perception might be just slightly off. Plus they say men are almost colorblind, right?

Mr. Dog Poop: Yeah, like 50% of men can't see their own penis.

Jeff: Oh, I think that's different than colorblind.

Mr. Dog Poop: Oh, it's just because it's small. You and I don't have that problem, but

Jeff: No, somehow not yet

Mr. Dog Poop: So I'm looking for Which one are you working on? The clock?

Jeff: Yeah, the clock.

Mr. Dog Poop: Okay. So that should be brown, black and orange.

Jeff: Okay, I see. Yeah. So what I was calling maroon is probably brown.

Mr. Dog Poop: Okay, so So brown is one black is zero and orange that's three. Those are supposed to be 10 K. Yes. Three is the number of zero. So third one is the number of zero. So it should be one zero with three zero. So 10,000 homes. So you'll see on the board where it says 10K

Jeff: Yes,

Mr. Dog Poop: That will go into there. Now resistors don't have polarity. So they work the same way in both directions. So it doesn't matter which way you put it in.

Jeff: So I just bend this thing and put it in here.

Mr. Dog Poop: You just bend down the ends and they've got it set up. So you can bend 'em pretty, just bend them down and then stick it in there and then solder it. I'm pretty proud of myself. Eight year old project. It's the first successful build of an eight year old project this week. I did do it before the show. And in all fairness, when I built it, it wasn't working. And just half an hour before the show, I went back over the board to look for mistakes. And I found one and fixed it, but I also didn't have the directions. So I made it without the directions. Got a real man.

Jeff: Yeah, yeah. That's okay. Here's the other 10K one.

Mr. Dog Poop: So let me tell you a story. When I learned electricity, we were learning vacuum tubes. And this all goes back to when Thomas Edison invented electricity, I lived in New Jersey and Thomas Edison comes over and he says, Hey kid dog poop, because, I wasn't Mr. Dog poop yet. So he comes and says, Hey, I invented this electricity and he showed me this light bulb. And I'm like, okay, whatever. You know he invented a light bulb big deal. And I'm like, I'm going to stay in dog poop because like, I don't think there's a future in electricity.

Jeff: Yeah I get what you were thinking.

Mr. Dog Poop: I mean, he went on to do his thing. I went on to do my thing and clearly I took the wrong road.
