So.... we thought it would be a great idea to review STEM (Science, Technology, Engeering and Math) projects on The Man Show Live.
After all, if it is made for kids from 6-12 years old, it should be a snap for two way more than 12 year old guys to demonstrate.
This one caught us by surprise. We thought it would be easy. We thought we were as smart as any 6 year old.
We were wrong!
So what happened? How hard can it be to assemble a model of a P51 Mustang?
Well, when we opened the kit we realized were were literally building the plane from scratch. The kit had either 285 pieces or 258 pieces depending on weather you believe what is says on the box or the directions. They both had different numbers so the kit was even too confusing for the manufacturer.
We struggled through and made the best models we could in our 1 hour episode, but it was dismal and did not look anything like the instructions. But that is not the fault of the kit, it was very challenging and very flexible allowing kids to create anything they want.
This is the kind of mechanical project that will keep children off TIKTOK and engaging in mechanical engineering. And while Mr Dog Poop and Jeff might be content with their creations we do hope that children age 6 will not.
The kit has an abundance of parts and can allow any young mind the ability to be creative, to build something unique.
After all, aviation did not occur overnight. Even with the worlds best minds it took decades to actually create something that would fly.
When the Wright Brothers finally achieved it they flew for a whopping 12 seconds. In later flights that day they improved it to 852 feet in 59 seconds. Not exactly a trans Atlantic flight.
The point is, it took the brightest minds to believe that flight was possible, the dreamers, the visionaries, the people we typically think are crazy for believing such nonsense.
It is our job to help children grow their minds into someone that can think outside the box. Someone with strong deductive reasoning that has skills in multiple disciplines.
The kits we are reviewing this week could be just enough of a push to get your child moving into that direction. To give your child an advantage because they are excited by science.
The P-51 Erector Set was an excellent kit. By far one of Mr Dog Poop's favorites. Because if it was easy, there would be no value in it. No challenge and no ability to spawn innovation.
This one gets a Man Show top rating.

$17 Personal Frying Pan - Is it big enough for a man size meal? Personal Frying Pan - Is it big enough for a REAL MAN? Our first impression was that it was small. But that may be the best part, portable, does not take up much space and in the end, it did cook a man size portion. One man at least. The cons were, too shallow, no temperature control and that the handle needed to be assembled from 3 parts which is something some men wont be able to do. Mr Dog Poop cooks sausage chili made with Italian sausage, onions, peppers, garlic, tomatoes and kidney beans. It is a struggle to get all the ingredients into the shallow pan but in the end, keeping in a heaping pile did work. Once that finished, he attempted a Philly cheese steak with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Jeff cooks ...read more
Soldering Motherboards for Kids OK, they are not really motherboards, they are just small printed circuit boards with simple projects for kids as part of our STEM week projects. These projects are typically under $10 and vary in scope and complexity. We tried a clock and a musical board. The first word I have to describe these is SMALL! Tiny parts, hard to read and difficult to understand, but isn't that the point? To challenge young minds with projects that make them think. Projects that build on deductive reasoning and get them off their phones for a few minutes a day. These simple projects and a less than $10 soldering iron will keep kids busy for hours. It is a good entry project into electrical engineering, helping kids understand basic components and how the boards are assembled. At one time back in the 70's you could walk into any ...read more
Mondays news starts off with a bang. Mr Dog poop expressing his desire to be a news anchor and declaring that if anyone will pay him more than Jeff Macolino he is ready to jump ship and switch over to their show. News of the day included a discussion on Ckick-Fil-A banning gay people from the restaurants and Hobby Lobby being the anti-christ. Desantis takes over Disney with a panel of his friends to take out the Disney regime that runs orlando Florida. However, Desantis fails to tell anyone that it will cost Florida Tax payers 1.2 Billion dollars a year for Desantis to control disney. But "Tiny D" don't care, he is on his way to be the dictator of the United States and nothing will stand in his way. So watch out you woke mother fuckers, he is driving over the top of everyone. Chemistry For Kids? Review of Children's Chemistry SetThe guys made a big splash on today's episode of The Man Show Live with a review of a chemistry set for kids age 3+. Of course, Mr Dog poop is in his element because he runs the world's largest dog poop DNA lab and is a true scientist having been credited with developing the genotyping panel being used to identify DNA in dog poop with that of the source. So doing experiments made for 3 year olds should be easy. On the other side of the camera Jeff Macolino thought he was going to learn how to build a meth lab. He came dressed for the part as a character from the hit show Breaking Bad, a story about Walter White, a modest high school chemistry teacher who transforms into a ruthless kingpin in the local methamphetamine drug trade. While it ...read more
